At Anastasis, we know that helping others not only feels good, it's "praying with our feet. "
Did you know that 37,000 elementary students in Arapahoe, Douglas, and Elbert county go without food on the weekends when they aren't in school? That's a staggering number. For many kids, the best meal they eat each day is at school. What do these kids do over the summer?
SECOR Cares and Food For Thought are working on making sure that no child in our community goes hungry with their Mobile Food Pantry. You can help in two ways:
1. For $10/week you can help feed a child in our community. What chores could your child do around home to earn $10 that they can donate to another child?
2. Help SECOR load the trucks for their mobile food pantry. Children 8 and older are welcome to help. Sign up to help here.
